Hello Meerkat Enthusiasts!
I wanted to provide a quick update on Meerkat Kingdoms for everyone and share some pictures of the progress.
Deluxe Insert
As you know we had a deluxe insert made by Folded Space for Meerkat Kingdoms, below are images of the latest insert. It will be able to properly store everything from the base game and the 5th player expansion including the dice faction add-on.
Production Sample
The manufacturer insisted on creating a sample of the game for a final approval before moving into mass production, we ultimately agreed with them that this would be the best way forward, especially since we need to send a copy to Folded Spaces to make sure the deluxe insert fits properly, the slights miss measurements could make the insert not fit properly.
Below you can see the sample copy of the game. The only thing we are waiting on are the dice which are supposed to be ready this week. Once we have the dice we can send a copy to Fold Spaces and give a final approval to move into mass production.
We will provide another update in about a month on the progress of the game.

Quick Update!

Hello Meerkat Enthusiasts!
First off, thank you for your patience. I know this update took a little longer than usual. I was honestly hoping to wait until I had something a bit more exciting to share, but I also want to keep you fully in the loop.
Because Meerkat Kingdoms is one of the largest games Envy Born Games has ever published, I’ve been moving a bit more deliberately through the preproduction process. I’ve been spending extra time reviewing files and communicating closely with the manufacturer to make sure everything is absolutely correct before we move into full production.
During final e-proof review (which we received a couple of weeks ago), we did catch a few small issues that needed correction. I’m very glad we found them now rather than after manufacturing began. Those corrections have been made, all final files have been submitted, and the e-proofs are officially approved.
Manufacturing is scheduled to begin shortly after the team returns from Chinese New Year.
Because of the additional proofing adjustments and the holiday timing, fulfillment will likely shift back a bit from the original projection. That said, I want to reassure everyone, everything is moving forward properly, and the game will absolutely be fulfilled to all backers.
Once the manufacturer is fully back and production officially begins, I’ll receive a more detailed production timeline and will share that with you right away.

I wanted to share a quick update with you all!
Nothing major to report. Everything is moving along as scheduled, no changes to the timeline. The pledge manager is currently open, and we still have about 100 backers who haven’t completed their surveys yet. If you’re one of them, please take a moment to fill yours out when you can. It really helps keep everything on track.

Hello Meerkat Enthusiasts!
Its been about a month so I wanted to provide a quick update to you all.
Pledge Manager
Due to how the international shipping partners we work with operate, we are going to switch to using the Backerkit Pledge Manager.
I am currently working on uploading all of the information needed to Backerkit, once I'm done with that I will launch the pledge manager and send out invites. During this time you can add any additional add-ons to you order as well and provide your shipping information. Invites should be sent out sometime next week if everything does as planned.

A Big Thank You and What Comes Next for Meerkat Kingdoms

Hello Meerkat Enthusiasts!
First of all, let’s start this update with a mini celebration, a celebration of all of you! 🎉 Meerkat Kingdoms funded successfully because of your incredible support, and I couldn’t be more grateful. Thank you for backing the campaign and being part of this amazing community. 🎊
Now that we’ve had our fun, let’s talk about what comes next for the campaign.
Pledge Manager
We’ll be using Kickstarter’s new built in pledge manager for this project. It’ll be my first time working with it, so there might be a small learning curve, but I’ll start setting it up over the next couple of weeks. Once it’s ready, an invite will be sent out to all backers.
Print Ready Files
The base game of Meerkat Kingdoms is ready to go! We’ve already printed prototypes and approved all components. The only remaining work involves a few graphic design updates for the 5th Expansion Pack. Our goal is to have those files finalized by the end of this month. If that slips slightly, we’ll definitely have everything completed in November and sent to our manufacturer for a final print proof before approval.
Queenie the Meerkat Plush
Unfortunately, we didn’t receive enough interest to move forward with producing Queenie the Meerkat. I know some of you were excited for her, and I truly appreciate that enthusiasm. For now, we’ll be shelving the idea, but it may return in the future if demand grows.
Stretch Goal Update
We fell just short of the $40,000 stretch goal that would have added four Player Aids to the game. That said, we still really wanted to include them in some way, so we’re happy to confirm that one Player Aid will be included in every copy of Meerkat Kingdoms. You’ll just have to share it with your fellow gamers!
Timeline
Everything is currently on track with our original production schedule.
From this point forward, we’ll be posting monthly updates on the game’s progress. Some may be brief when things are running smoothly, but we’ll always keep you informed.
